“TEACH – IN”

Tuesday, February 19, 2008

10 a.m. ~ 5 p.m.

Congressman Steve Israel’s Office

 150 Motor Parkway

Hauppauge, NY.

  Why the teach-in?

·      Rep. Israel has failed to respond to repeated requests to meet personally with representatives of Code Pink LI & Suffolk MoveOn.

·      Rep. Israel has failed to take a responsive and responsible leadership position on our core peace and justice issues.

·     To give Rep Israel's staff the opportunity to learn about issues of Impeachment, Bringing the Troops Home Now, No War on Iran, and more so they can deliver our message to him.

You can support the Teach-In by joining us for all or part of the day  and taking part in:

    *  Reading the names of Iraq war victims, (supplied)

    *  Reading the list of impeachable offenses (supplied)

    *  Reading relevant letters, poetry, statements, articles of your choosing (and leave a copy for the staff)

    *  Holding signs and/or photos of fallen soldiers, Iraqi war victims

    *  Singing protest songs (to be supplied)

    *   and more!!!

    *   Bring Snacks & Water to sustain yourself

 ·     If you can’t attend, please call Rep. Israel’s office (631-951-2210) on that day to express solidarity with our issues and demands.
