Dear Peacemaker,
As the Chairman of the Scholarship Committee of the Sister Rose Thering Endowment for Jewish
Christian Studies at Seton Hall University in South Orange NJ, I am delighted to invite you to apply for a full scholarship
for such courses as Lessons from the Holocaust, Values for a Pluralistic Society, and Qumran Readings among others. Thanks
to the generosity of our contributors, these scholarships are offered on the graduate level to those interested in advancing
their studies in the fields of education, divinity, social studies, political science, and the liberal arts. Grants are available
to all qualified students who apply for all courses leading to a Masters degree in Jewish Christian studies. Undergraduates
in their junior and senior years may also apply for consideration.
We are seeking teachers, social workers, community organizers, ministers and peace and justice advocates. Those active
in these fields will receive primary consideration. Seton Hall University is easily accessible by train or bus from Manhattan.
The courses are available for the coming fall semester and may qualify as an elective in your field of study. These scholarships
are offered to any serious student who applys. Submit your application as soon as possible.
